Competition in college admissions has increased dramatically in recent years, and stress levels have ratcheted up accordingly. One of my primary goals is to reduce stress for students and their families by demystifying the process, creating reasonable flow charts, providing materials to foster inspiration, and keeping kids on track.

The college application process can seem like a never-ending series of hoops to jump through, but it also presents opportunities for growth and clarity. The most common feedback I’ve received, from parents and students alike, is that they learned more about writing and about themselves in the few months of our work together than in their entire high school experience. The confidence and belief that comes from students knowing they’ve left nothing on the table—that what they’ve written is a pure reflection of who they are and how they engage with the world—is how they own the process, and it makes for a meaningful capstone to their high school careers.
